In 1987 the secret weapon of tennis chaps eager to play hard but go easy on their soles was called "Eclair". Designed for the streets, the new Lacoste LS.12 collection hasn't changed but looks entirely new. A sport inspired design-drawing its sports lines from the brand's heritage, the design is loyal to its original style with a thick sole conceived to withstand wear and to ensure comfort.

50 SHADES OF NIGERIA PART TWO BY TALABI AYOBAMI
But who is the government? An issue that needs clarification as a result of misplaced sentences. Over zealous and modest people alike say the people are the government. Well, this might be true. However, in the Nigerian setting, this is some big fallacy. In a country where votes of you and i don't count? Where leaders jet off the nation's money without repercussions? Where perpetrators were apprehended in the fuel subsidy melee and before our very eyes, greater emphasis was laid on a lawmaker accepting a bribe from one of these perpetrators? They both committed a crime you will say, i agree, but what is $620,000 to 1.4 trillion? Where a select few rule with no sense of shame or accountability?
In a nation where we assemble some rich entities and stuff them with more money in the name of a National Conference with zero result? Lets be very clear, 170 million people aren't the government, just about 10,000 people and a few friends are having said this, it still begs the question, is the government solely to be held for this pitiable level of decadence in the nation? The answer is NO, that is simple to arrive at. Everyone will probably agree with this conclusion. We the populace have a fair share of the blame. They say if a goat doesn't bite, elders will tell you, when you chase a goat to the wall, it will turn back ready to fight. Do we have to go through this proverbial wall, as a people hoping for some miracle. After all, it is said that heaven helps those who help themselves. That a man is gentle doesn't mean is stupid, that's right. But in the face of unfair events, if he dies peril, then he must be termed a fool. Okay, we might be a very diligent people with common sense, not given to violence and protests. There is an idea, can't we sit in during the next general elections? Ballot boxes and papers everywhere with no single entity to vote? Won't the whole world come to attention and acknowledge there is something terribly wrong? Isn't it high time we stopped mortgaging the future of generations to come for a measly N500, probably N1,000 and some three congos of rice, politicians give during elections, even in the face of poverty? After all, its said, if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for everything. Haven't we stooped to a lowest level of mediocrity? Can't we make our voices heard with the deepest of silence. It isn't entirely our fault, you know. The holy book says, smite the shepherd and the flock will. We are scattered all over, because greed and shamelessness, embezzlement and low worth have smitten the leaders. Is it a taboo to have good roads, portable water, stable electricity? Someone once said, "witchcraft " isn't an Igbo word, it is English and they still do prosper. So why can't we?
